A few weeks ago, Realme launched its latest budget smartphone — Realme 3, for a starting price of Rs. 8,999. Yesterday, the phone went on sale for the first time in India. While the phone sold out in its first flash sale at 12:00 PM, the company hosted another flash sale at 08:00 PM.

Now, the company has revealed that it has managed to sell more than 210,000 units of the Realme 3 smartphone in India. The numbers are the combined sales through online marketplace Flipkart and the company’s own online store.

Realme 3 First Sale India

The Realme 3 comes in two variants — 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. The 3GB RAM model is priced at Rs. 8,999 (approximately $129) while the 4GB RAM model is priced at Rs. 10,999, roughly $158. However, the company had announced that the pricing is for the first million buyers only, indicating that the pricing could go up after it hits the mark.

Coming to the specifications, the smartphone features a 6.2-inch Dewdrop display that carries support for HD+ resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. It offers an aspect ratio of 19:9 and 450nits of brightness and is shielded by Gorilla Glass 3.

The MediaTek Helio P70 octa-core processor drives the smartphone along with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The back panel of the Realme 3 is equipped with a fingerprint sensor. For convenient unlocking experience, the Realme 3 carries support for AI face unlock.

It comes with a dual camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For shooting selfies, the Realme 3 features a 13-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The Realme 3 is running Android 9 Pie operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own ColorOS 6 custom interface on top. The phone is powered by a 4230mAh battery with support for fast charging technology.
