Huawei isn’t launching the Mate 30 anytime soon but the P30 is expected to land very soon. Ahead of the P30’s launch, the Mate 30 has gotten a 500 yuan cut in its price on Suning Tesco in China. This makes the device a strong contender as a worthy flagship phone.
Huawei recently revealed that it had sold over 10 million units of the Mate 20 series models till date. With such sales pre-price cut, the Mate 20 sales may be revitalized even with the impending launch of the P30. The price cut spreads across the different models that make up the series. The Mate 20 series comprises the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20X. The Mate 20 (6GB+64GB) is now available for 3499 yuan ($521) while the Mate 20 Pro goes for 4899 yuan ($729) after the 500 yuan price slash. The Mate 20X (6GB+128GB) now retails for 4499 yuan ($670). The price cut across the models is likely going to be for a short period but we expect it to sustain the record-breaking sales.

The Huawei Mate 20 is the firm’s first device to feature Huawei’s latest Hisilicon Kirin 980 chipset. The models equally come with innovative camera setups co-engineered with Leica. The Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro both and Mate 20 X all feature a triple camera set up at the rear.
