Popular brand building platform BrandZ has released its top 50 ranking of the most valuable brands from China which are competing on the global scene. The report shows a 15% increase YoY on the brand power index of Chinese brands. The report shows Huawei recorded the strongest performance in the overseas market in the past two years and that the company’s brand value (Brand Power) increased by 22% compared to 2018. With a score of 1862 points, Huawei toppled Lenovo which had 164 points lesser than Huawei and which was last year’s overall best brand.
Regarding the performance of Huawei, BrandZ stated that Huawei is the number one brand in terms of brand power this year due to its successes in the domestic and overseas markets. Huawei leads both in terms of brands and products. Basically, Huawei’s dominance in several markets outside China is undisputable especially compared to other Chinese phone brands.
The list also contains several smartphone brands, though, which is an indication that the Chinese smartphone companies are soaring on the international scene. There is Xiaomi in number 4 which is a good thing for the company and then, OnePlus at number 9. OnePlus is popular outside China even more than Xiaomi but this ranking could be a pointer to the rising profile of the Mi brand. OPPO also made it into the top 20 brands, sitting at number 19.
