Xiaomi’s latest midrange models, the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro are already available in India via Mi.com and Mi Home. The availability of the mid-range models will soon be expanded as Xiaomi has hinted that the models will be available via one of India’s largest online store Flipkart.Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Box Contents

Xiaomi India’s CEO Manu Jain disclosed this in a tweet earlier today. The sale was scheduled to commence at 12 noon today but the Flipkart page still lists the models as “Coming soon”. We expect the sales to commence soon but don’t get our hopes high. There may still be a shortage of available stock for now.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro is expected to be hit by stock shortage the more since it offers way improved specs over the Redmi Note 7 and so will get more patronage. The Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro both feature a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with waterdrop notch that delivers full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The Redmi Note 7 Pro is powered by a more powerful Snapdragon 675 SoC as against a Snapdragon 660 chip on the Note 7. The Note 7 Pro differs from the Note 7 mainly in the aspect of the rear camera configuration. Dual cameras on both but the Note 7 Pro uses a 48MP Sony IMX586  primary sensor with a 5MP depth sensor. The Note 7 uses a 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor + 5MP depth sensor. The two models pack a 4000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging using the USB-C port. They equally run on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie.
