Earlier this week, on 10th April, Oppo took the wraps off its latest premium smartphone lineup — Oppo Reno. The company has launched two smartphones under the Reno series and is expected to launch five models in the series.

With the launch of Reno lineup, it wasn’t clear which series will be the company’s flagship series as the Oppo currently has three series — R-series, Find-series and Reno-series. But, that is settled now.

In an interview Oppo’s senior vice president Shen Yiren confirmed that the company will scrap the R-series and will no longer update the lineup with new models. Instead, the company will be focusing on Oppo Reno and Oppo Find series, which will meet all the customers’ demand.

Thus, it seems that the Oppo R17-series was the last from the company in the lineup and the flagship series is now being replaced with the Reno and Find lineup. While Reno models have started becoming official, the company is yet to launch the successor of the Oppo Find X that was launched last year.

Oppo recently launched Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition in China. The Reno standard edition comes with 6.4 inches display that offers full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is also fitted with an in-display fingerprint reader as well as Gorilla Glass 6.
