Last week, Amazon India had carried out “Fab Phones Fest Sale” between April 11 and 13. During the sale various popular phones such as Apple iPhone XR, OnePlus 6T and Vivo V15 Pro were selling at reduced prices. The shopping festival is now over, but the OnePlus 6T phone is still selling with reduced price tag of Rs. 34,999 on the retailer site. It remains to be seen whether the smartphone will continue to sell with Rs. 4,000 discount ahead of the rumored May 14 global launch date of OnePlus 7.
On Amazon India, the OnePlus 6T models such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage are respectively selling for Rs. 34,999 (~$504), Rs. 37,999 (~$547) and Rs. 41,999 (~$605). At launch, these variants were respectively introduced with pricings such as Rs. 37,999 (~$547), Rs. 41,999 (~$605) and Rs. 45,999 (~$663).
In China too, the OnePlus 6T variants are selling with around 400 Yuan discount. There is no confirmation on whether the discount pricing of the OnePlus 6T on Amazon India is a permanent price cut or a temporary one that will continue until the stock lasts. Buyers who couldn’t purchase the OnePlus 6T at reduced price during the recent “Fab Phones Fest Sale” on Amazon India can still take advantage of the price cut.
OnePlus 6T Specification and Features
The OnePlus 6T smartphone is equipped with Optic AMOLED display of 6.41 inches. The waterdrop notched display offers 19.5:9 aspect ratio and full HD+ resolution. It is one of the first phones to feature Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Also, it is the first OnePlus phone to feature an in-display fingerprint reader.
The OxygenOS 9.0.5 based Android 9 Pie OS comes with preinstalled on the device. The Snapdragon 845 mobile platform powers the smartphone. The dual camera setup on positioned on its rear features an OIS enabled 16-megapixel with f/1.7 aperture primary sensor and a 20-megapixel wide-angle lens with f/1.7 aperture as secondary sensor. The selfie notch of the phone features a 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The OnePlus 6T lacks support for 3.5mm audio jack and microSD card slot. The 3,700mAh battery of the smartphone carries support for 20W rapid charging. Its color variants are Mirror Black and Midnight Black.
OnePlus 7 Rumors
OnePlus is expected to arrive in three models such as OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. The Snapdragon 855 powered OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to arrive with a notch-less display, an in-screen fingerprint reader and a pop-up selfie camera. Also, it will be the first OnePlus phone to arrive with triple rear cameras.
