The Zenfone 6 is scheduled to arrive in less than a month. The device has been certified by the FCC and the documents reveal key details about the flagship.

The Zenfone 6 (ASUS_I01WD) will have an SM8150 baseband processor a.k.a. Snapdragon 855. The back of the phone will house dual cameras arranged horizontally and separated by an LED flash. Below the cameras will be the phone’s fingerprint scanner.

The Zenfone 6 will also have support for 18W fast charging and dual SIM support as shown on the label.

The device was benchmarked on AnTuTu at the beginning of the month and the result revealed it will come with a display with a 2340 x 1080 resolution, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. It will also run Android Pie out of the box.

So far we haven’t seen any feature that makes the ASUS Zenfone 6 worth looking forward to and we are wondering how it is going to compete against other flagships this year. It doesn’t have triple rear cameras with neat tricks like optical zoom or video bokeh neither is there an in-display fingerprint scanner. 18W fast charging also feels like a feature reserved for mid-range phones now.

We guess ASUS might be going with a low price tag just like it did with the Zenfone 5z. However, that didn’t fare well for it as the POCO F1 sold for even less. There is still a bunch of stuff we don’t know as the launch is still a month away but we hope ASUS has a surprise for us.
