Redmi, a newly independent smartphone brand that split from its parent company Xiaomi earlier this year, is all set to launch a selfie-centric smartphone in India the Indian market next week, on 24th April.

The upcoming smartphone, which will feature a 32 MP front-facing snapper, is expected to be the Redmi Y3 — the next-generation device in the selfie-focused Y lineup and the successor to the Redmi Y2.

Redmi Y3 32 MP Front Camera Phone Launch Date

Now, ahead of the phone’s launch, the phone has been listed on Amazon India website with a ‘Notify Me’ button, hinting that the device could be available for purchase exclusively via Amazon.in India upon its launch.

The company has confirmed that the smartphone features a 32 MP camera sensor on the front side as it reads “32MP Super Selfie” but does not reveal any other information related to the phone. But, the phone’s landing page on Amazon India confirms that the phone packs Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and will offer two-day battery life.

For the front-facing camera, the company is expected to employ Samsung’s 32-megapixel ISOCELL Bright GD1 image sensor that was announced back in October last year. The phone will be running Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10 out-of-the-box.

Earlier this month, leaked information had revealed that the company may launch the Redmi Y3 phone in India after the launch of its budget Redmi 7 smartphone in India. So, there’s a possibility that Xiaomi could launch both these smartphones at the same launch event on 24th April in India.
