BlackBerry has announced the KEY 2 Red edition for the US market. The Red variant of the KEY 2 has earlier been launched at MWC 2019 and is available in Europe. The KEY 2 Red Edtion isn’t very much different from the standard edition, save for some few tweaks here and there. The major difference is the red paint job the device has got. The body is made from the same 7000 series aluminium on the standard edition but it is all covered in bright red except for the QWERTY keyboard and physical keys that are black and silver respectively. In addition, the Red Edition comes with a new packaging design and a pair of red BlackBerry-branded headphones that match the colour of the KEY2 RED Edition.

The rest of the specifications are pretty much the same. As a reminder, the KEY2 features a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 1620 x 1080 pixels and 433 ppi. The display is covered by a sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660  octa-core SoC with Adreno 512 GPU. Other specifications include 6GB RAM, 128 GB Internal storage, Android 8.1 Oreo, 3360 mAh battery, fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, 4G VoLTE support, NFC, USB-C port and a dual Hybrid SIM. On the camera end, it packs a 12 MP f/1.8 + 12MP f/2.6 dual camera set up at the rear with dual-tone LED flash. On the front side, there’s an 8MP camera for selfies and video calling.
