A month ago, Vivo rolled out Android Pie to its 2018 flagship, the NEX S. The update is now rolling out to the Snapdragon 710 version of the phone – the Vivo NEX A.

The update is pretty heavy at 3.30GB and brings a number of new features and a new UI to the device. Some of the new features are baked around the Jovi AI Assistant. There is also a revamped Dark Mode.

Vivo NEX A Android Pie update

The Vivo NEX A has near identical specs to the NEX A. The key differences are the processor and the position of the fingerprint scanner.

The phone has a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED 1080 x 2316 display. It has no notch and very slim bezels, so it settles for a slide-out selfie camera. The 8MP sensor pops out from the left side of the top frame.

There is a Snapdragon 710 processor under the hood paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of non-expandable storage. There are two cameras on the rear, a 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. You also get a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The NEX A packs a 4000mAh battery with support for 22W fast-charging.
