Press renders and a few details of the OPPO A9 leaked yesterday. Now more details have surfaced thanks to an official listing on OPPO‘s own website.

OPPO A9 featured

The OPPO A9 will have a 6.53-inch display with a 90.70% screen-to-body ratio. It has a waterdrop notch and the display is covered by Gorilla Glass 5.

The processor powering the phone wasn’t revealed but the website says it will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The OPPO A9 will not have a 48MP camera as previously reported but a 16MP primary camera. There is a depth sensor too for portrait images. The camera can intelligently identify up to 22 different scenes. There is also Ultra Night Mode 2.0 for better low-light images. The selfie camera is a 16MP sensor too with AI beauty mode and up to 8 different filters.

The phone will come with GameBoost 2.0, a game acceleration software engine that ensures your games are lag-free and smooth. It will also intelligently switch between 4G and Wi-Fi for uninterrupted online gaming.

OPPO A9 Price

The OPPO A9 will run ColorOS 6 out of the box based on Android 9 Pie. ColorOS 6 brings a ton of AI features.

The phone will be available in three colors – Fluorite Purple, Ice Jade White, and Mica Green. It will sell for ¥1799 (~$268) and be available for purchase on the official online store at 10 AM on April 30. A proper launch should happen before then.
