Realme is all set to launch its flagship device Realme X on May 15 at an event in Beijing, China. The multiple rumors regarding its features and design are hinting the presence of high-end specifications. The company itself has revealed a lot of details about the Realme X.

Now, the company has confirmed that the smartphone will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. But, what’s more interesting is that the company will be using the next-generation optical in-display fingerprint sensior. The fingerprint recognition area has also been increased by 44 percent in this new sensor.

Realme X In-display Fingerprint Sensor

Prior to this, Realme had confirmed that the phone will come with a 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 aperture. Similar to the Realme 3 Pro, the Realme X will also feature Nightscape mode for low-light imaging.

A new poster shared by the company unfolded almost every detail regarding its rear camera setup. The image is showing the smartphone’s zooming capabilities of the 48 MP sensor. Previously, the company had confirmed the presence of an AMOLED display panel and a notchless design.

A recent TENAA leak reveals that the phone flaunts a 6.5-inch AMOLED notch-less display that supports 1080 x 2340 pixels screen resolution. It is powered by 2.2 GHz octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM. It has an inbuilt storage of 64GB with microSD card slot for expanding the storage capacity.

The smartphone boots Android 9 Pie OS out-of-the-box with the company’s own ColorOS 6.0 user interface. It will be powered by a 3,680Ah battery with support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.

At the launch event on 15th May, along with the Realme X, the company will also be launching the Realme X Youth Edition aka Realme X Lite, which is a re-branded version of the Realme 3 Pro launched last month in India.
