The Galaxy On series may have been canceled by Samsung but that isn’t to say phones released under the series have been abandoned. The 2018 Galaxy On7 Prime is now receiving an update that brings Android Pie along with Samsung’s new One UI interface.

The update is already rolling out in India, one of the countries where the phone is sold. The update weighs in at 1GB and it brings a bunch of new features as well as May 2019’s security patch! Amazing, right?

Apart from the new UI, there are interesting other features too. Below are some of them:

  • The Samsung Keyboard app comes with new emojis, has an adaptive theme that will change its appearance based on the colors of surrounding apps, and now supports floating keyboard in all apps.
  • Samsung’s AI assistant called Bixby brings new features and improvements.
  • Call history can be sorted by incoming calls and outgoing calls. It has also been increased from 500 entries to 2000 entries.
  • The camera app brings a new feature called Scene Optimizer which automatically adjusts color settings to fit the scene.
  • There is a new storage analysis tool in the My Files app that monitors your storage usage and helps you to save space. Files can also be hidden on the My Files home screen.
