ASUS will be announcing the ZenFone 6 series on May 16. Yesterday, the Taiwanese firm had shared some of the key features of its upcoming flagship phone that will be arriving as the successor for last year’s ZenFone 5Z. Today, a tipster from India has shared several leaked photos of the dummy unit of the ZenFone 6 mid-range smartphone.

The leaked images show that the alleged ZenFone 6 will be arriving with a notch-less display. In fact, it will be a slider phone. The display is surrounded by slim bezels, but its chin is slightly thick. When the screen is moved, the visible part of the slider towards the bottom seems to feature front-firing speakers. The upper part of the slider seems to feature dual front-facing cameras and another external speaker.

The bottom edge of the phone seems to feature slots for a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB-C port. An LED enabled horizontal dual camera setup placed at the center position at the topmost part of the back panel. A rear-facing fingerprint sensor and ASUS brand name can be also seen on the backside of the device. There is no information available on the specifications of the ZenFone 6.

These images are quite different from the case images of the ZenFone 6 phone that had appeared earlier this week. It revealed that the phone is equipped with a large cutout on the rear side for dual rear cameras. Probably, it could be also arriving with a notch-less display with slider design. Probably, by sliding the display, it may flip the rear camera to the front for capturing selfie shots like the Samsung Galaxy A80 phone. This handset could be the purported ZenFone 6Z flagship phone.

Last year, the ZenFone 5Z competed with the OnePlus 6. The ZenFone 6Z that will be made official two days after May 14 launch of OnePlus 7 could be arriving as its major rival. Some of the other features of the phone that has been confirmed by the Taiwanese manufacturer include 3.5mm audio jack, a notification LED, a triple slot for dual SIM and a microSD card slot, a dedicated smart key which can be also seen in the above shown images.
