This morning, Redmi General Manager took to Weibo to confirm that the company will be confirming the name of the Redmi flagship phone. He has also shared an image which indicates that the upcoming flagship phone from the company could be called X20, P20, K20 or T20.

Early leaks had claimed that Redmi X could be the name of the Redmi’s Snapdragon 855 SoC fueled phone. However, it was confirmed by Weibing that the company’s first flagship phone will have a different name. Screen protective films of the forthcoming Redmi flagship phone sporting X20, P20, K20 and T20 names have surfaced in the past. However, there is no concrete evidence on the exact moniker of the smartphone. The Chinese media are speculating on the suggested names for the Redmi’s Snapdragon 855 smartphone. Huawei has already used “P20” moniker for its P-series flagship phone. Vivo has been launching high-end phones under its X-series since the past few years.

Recent reports have so far revealed that the purported Redmi K20 Pro will be coming with a 6.39-inch S-AMOLED display with notch-less design. The smartphone will be arriving with an in-display fingerprint reader. It is rumored to be equipped with a 20-megapixel pop-up selfie snapper. The rear shell of the phone could be equipped with a triple camera setup featuring a 48-megapixle Sony IMX586 sensor and a superwide lens. The alleged Redmi K20 Pro is likely to feature a 4,000mAh battery. It may carry support for 27W rapid charging.

A recent leak had revealed Redmi is planning to introduce two flagship phones. These phones are expected to arrive in options such as 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage.
