Although Huawei is going through possibly the worst time, the company is still pushing new devices in the market. The Chinese technology giant has announced that it is holding a launch event in China on 5th June, where it’ll unveil the Maimang 8 smartphone.

The company has shared a few teaser posters of the Huawei Maimang 8 smartphone, which reveals some of the key specifications. It confirms that the device will feature a 6.21-inch display with a waterdrop notch.

As for the memory configuration, it will be offered with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone will feature a triple rear camera setup, aligned vertically in the top-left corner. It will have a 24 MP + 16 MP + 2 MP AI camera sensors.

The smartphone will also come with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security. As for the interface, it will come with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro USB port for charging and transferring data.

The company has not yet revealed which chipset will be powering the device. Its predecessor, Maimang 7, was powered by the Kirin 710 SoC, so it’s likely that the Maimang 8 will have Kirin 700-series chipset and could also pack the same Kirin 710 SoC.

As per the reports, the phone will also come with the company’s GPU Turbo technology, which is a graphics acceleration technology aimed at improving the gaming experience. It could come with Android 9 Pie pre-installed with the EMUI 9 UI on top.
