Xiaomi-backed Redmi brand recently launched its flagship smartphone series — Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro. As the name itself suggests, the Redmi K20 Pro is the high-end device and comes with an interesting set of specifications.

In the first sale of the smartphone in China on 1st June, the company said that over 200,000 units of the Redmi K20 Pro were sold and the phone was ranked first on JD.com in the single product sale on the same day.

Now, Lu Weibing, Vice President of Xiaomi and General Manager of Redmi has announced that the inventory of the Redmi K20 Pro in China is almost sold out and the company is speeding up production and supply to meet the demand.

Coming to the specifications, the Redmi K20 Pro flaunts a 6.39-inch AMOLED display that offers a tall aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The AMOLED screen is integrated with the latest 7th-generation in-display fingerprint sensor and the phone also comes with support full DC dimming and eye protection mode.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. The phone comes with 8-layer of graphite sheet for heat dissipation.

In the camera department, the smartphone features a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture, a 124.8-degree 13-megapixel superwide lens with f/2.4 aperture, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and 2x optical zoom capabilities.

It comes with features like dual LED flash, AI scene recognition, night scene mode, handheld super night scene mode and 960 fps slow-motion video recording. On the front side, the phone is equipped with a pop-up camera of 20-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture.

Other features on the device include Hi-Res audio, dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, dual-frequency GPS, USB-C, and 3.5mm headphone jack. The MIUI 10 based Android 9 Pie OS comes preloaded on the device, with support for Game Turbo 2.0. The flagship smartphone from Redmi comes powered by a 4,000mAh battery which also supports 27W fast charging technology.

The Redmi K20 Pro comes in four variants based on the memory configuration — 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, costing 2,499 Yuan (~$362), 2,599 Yuan (~$376), 2,799 Yuan (~$405), and 2,999 Yuan (~$435) respectivaly.
