Recently announced OnePlus 7 Pro is reeling from several display issues. Many users on the Reddit and OnePlus community forums are reporting “ghost touch” and a few other display issues. In response to these problems, OnePlus has confirmed that a fix is in the works and will be pushed “in the coming weeks.” The update is in works to fix OnePlus 7 Pro’s screen issues. The upcoming update will patch all the display related problems and will improve the overall experience. The company also released a statement regarding the matter:

We have received limited reports from users describing their encounter of the “phantom taps” experience. Our team has worked hard to identify these cases, and we will release a firmware update in the upcoming weeks.

The “ghost touch” issue is widespread on many OnePlus 7 Pro units. The “ghost touch” or “phantom touch” issues arise when the phone starts tapping the display on its own. It can result in the malfunctioning of a particular app or the whole system. Some users even reported problems with the screen ignoring touches around the corners. In the meantime, users can temporarily turn off the NFC or reboot the device to solve the “ghost touch” issue on the OnePlus 7 Pro. It is also recommended to uninstall CPU-Z app.

The exact timeline for the update is not provided by the OnePlus. However, the company said to be rolling out the update very soon.
