Samsung was obviously racing against time to become the first OEM to release a foldable smartphone. The tech giant was on the verge of a massive breakthrough when disaster struck. The Galaxy Fold units sent out to reviewers were being plagued by one issue or the other. This development prompted the tech giant to put off the sales plans unit the issues were resolved. Samsung is yet to officially reveal the release details for the device. However, the end of the wait seems to be in sight as a Samsung executive has been reported to have hinted that the Galaxy Fold may get released sometime in July.Samsung Galaxy Fold Display Issue

This is the most specific disclosure we have gotten about the Fold’s release even though it still doesn’t confirm anything. The Fold will likely get different release dates for different regions. Samsung is expected to host an official conference where it could announce the July launch date soon.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Fold alongside the Galaxy S10 models during the Galaxy Unpacked event held in March. The Fold has gained widespread attention due to the practicability of its design and the “protection” it offers the delicate flexible panel with the in-fold design it adopts.
