Last month, ZTE launched its flagship smartphone — ZTE Axon 10 Pro and now the company has confirmed that the 5G variant of the phone, named Axon 10 Pro 5G, will be launched in China next month.

With the launch, China will be the second country where the Axon 10 Pro 5G will be available for purchase. Last month, the China-based company had launched the smartphone in Finland.

ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G China Launch

If everything goes as planned, then the ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G will be the first commercially available 5G smartphone in the Chinese market. Along with the support for next-gen network connectivity, the phone comes with some top-of-the-line specs and features.

The smartphone, which is IP68 certified to ensure that it’s dust-proof and waterproof, comes equipped with a 6.47-inch AMOLED display having a waterdrop notch, Full HD+ screen resolution as well as an in-screen fingerprint reader.

The Snapdragon 855 mobile platform powers the device and for 5G connectivity, the SD855 chip is paired with the Snapdragon X50 5G modem. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

On the back side, the phone has a triple camera setup that includes an OIS enabled 48-megapixel main sensor, an ultra-wide 20-megapixel lens and an OIS assisted 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capabilities. The front notch houses a 20-megapixel selfie camera.

In the software department, the smartphone comes running MiFavor 9.1 user interface based Android 9.0 Pie operating system out-of-the-box. The device is powered by a 4,000mAh battery that comes with wireless charging support as well as support for Quick Charge 4+.

As for the pricing, the ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G will cost 3,199 Yuan (approximately $462) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model and will go up to 4,199 Yuan (approximately $606) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The smartphone will be available for purchase through online retailers in China such as JD.com and telecom providers China Telecom and China Netcom.
