Recently, Huawei announced that it will hold the Huawei Developer Conference 2019 in Songshan Lake, Dongguan from August 9th to 11th. The conference’s keynote speech will be held on the first day of the event. We knew that Huawei would definitely be making a big announcement at the event, but now we know at least one of the things we’re going to see.

Huawei has recently updated the HDC2019 website, and it shows us that EMUI 10 will be launched at the event. This is some pretty big news on Huawei’s front, and we definitely weren’t expecting this. Part of that is because there’s been no news whatsoever regarding EMUI 10, and this is the first we’re hearing of it.

According to new rumors, EMUI 10 will feature a new design philosophy, or at least an updated version of the current design direction. We’ll also allegedly see a lot of improvements when it comes to the camera interface in terms of features, speed and features. It’ll also be based on Android Q, so we’ll get all those optimizations as well.

This is all honestly still quite surprising to us. Huawei haven’t been ones to make sudden announcements like this. It’s a move that makes a lot of sense though, seeing as to how HDC is their own developer conference. It only makes sense to make a big software launch at their own event.
