Huawei launched the MediaPad T5 in India on July 2, and confirmed that the device would go on sale on July 10. The tablet is now available for buying in the country exclusively on Amazon India.The mid-range tablet is priced from Rs. 14,990 (~$219). As part of the launch offer, the Chinese firm is offering a flip cover and Earphone AM12 worth Rs. 2,998 (~$44), for free with the MediaPad T5.
Huawei MediaPad T5 Specifications and Features:
The Huawei MediaPad T5 features a 10.1-inch full-HD display with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution. Huawei has added the Eye Comfort mode on the device which protects the user’s eyesight.
The tablet is powered by the 2.3Ghz octa-core Kirin 659 SoC, and is available in two variants. The base variant comes with 2GB of RAM + 16GB of built-in storage, while the higher-spec variant features 3GB of RAM + 32GB of internal storage.
The Huawei MediaPad T5 has a 5-megapixel primary camera on its rear with a 2-megapixel selfie lens. It draws power from a 5,100 mAh battery, but misses out on quick charging. The MediaPad T5 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with the EMUI 8.0 skin. Huawei has added the GPU Turbo 2.0 technology for added performance during gaming.
An additional feature called ‘Children’s Corner’ allows parents to regulate the content of the MediaPad T5 for their kids. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, microUSB 2.0 and an AUX port.
Huawei MediaPad T5 Price and Release:
The base variant of the MediaPad T5 with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage bears a price tag of Rs. 14,990 (~$219). While the top-end variant with 3GB of RAM + 32GB of built-in storage is available for Rs. 16,990 (~$249). The tablet is only available in a black avatar, and is currently on sale exclusively on Amazon India.
