The rumor mill has been speculating that Samsung will be announcing a flagship tablet soon. Recent reports had claimed that it could be arriving as the Galaxy Tab S5 since the predecessor model carried Galaxy Tab S4 moniker. However, fresh leaks reveal that the upcoming flagship tablet from Samsung will be releasing as Galaxy Tab S6. Sammobile had recently shared some leaked images of the Tab S6. Today, another publication has leaked the key specifications of the tablet.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Specifications (Rumored)
According to 91mobiles, the upcoming Galaxy Tab S6 is rumored to debut as the world’s first tablet featuring an in-display fingerprint reader. Also, it will be the first tablet ever to feature the Snapdragon 855. The leaked images of the tablet show that it will be arriving with a dual camera setup on its rear. It will include a primary sensor of 13-megapixel and a secondary ultrawide lens of 5-megapixel. For capturing selfies, it will be featuring an 8-megapixel front camera.
The leak has no information on the amount of RAM that will be present on the device. The device will release in 128 GB and 256 GB storage editions, claims the publication. The predecessor model featured 6 GB of RAM. Hence, the Tab S6 could be in 6 GB RAM version and there could be an 8 GB RAM edition too. The exact size of the tablet’s battery is not known, but what’s known is that it can last for up to 15 hours by charging once.
The display size of the Galaxy Tab S6 was not revealed in this leak. However, it goes without saying that it will come with Super AMOLED display that could be surrounded by slim bezels. Quad speakers tuned by AKG will be also available on the Galaxy Tab S6.
With optional keyboard accessory, the Tab S6 can be also used like a laptop. The support for Samsung DeX will make it possible to take advantage of full-fledged desktop experience by connecting the tablet to a larger display. The tablet will also carry support for S Pen and it will be also equipped with built-in Bixby voice assistant. The continuity feature through which users can continue tasks like call and messaging on the tablet that were first started on the phone will be also available on Samsung’s upcoming flagship slate.
Samsung is yet to confirm the launch date of Galaxy Tab S6. The company will be debuting the Galaxy Note 10 series on Aug. 7. Rumors have it that the Tab S6 may go official around the same time. There will be LTE and Wi-Fi editions of the tablet. It may come in three color editions like Blue, Grey and Brown.
