With the official launch of Android Q getting closer, more manufacturers are already developing beta versions for their devices so that they can roll out an update in time. Today, ZTE has announced that the Axon 10 Pro will soon get a beta version of Android Q.

The Axon 10 Pro in China runs MiFavor UI  – a custom version of Android, while the international version runs a near stock version of Android. The announcement was made on Weibo in form of a teaser poster shared by the official Mi Favor account.

The poster has a QR code at the bottom corner. Those interested in testing the new beta version are required to scan the code and apply to join the program.

There is no info on when a beta version of Android Q will be available for the global version though it did say it hopes to update the phone to Android Q and Android R.

The Axon 10 Pro was released this May. It has a 6.47-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2340 resolution and HDR10 support. There is a Snapdragon 855 processor under the hood paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It has a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. It also uses the F2FS file system format and is the first Snapdragon 855-powered phone to do so.

The display has a notch that is home to a 20MP sensor while the back houses a 48MP f/1.7 primary camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, and a 20MP ultra-wide angle camera. The Axon 10 Pro doesn’t have an audio jack like its closest competitor, the OnePlus 7 duo but it has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. Other features are a 4000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 4+ and wireless charging, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a USB Type-C port.
