DxOMark is a well-known photography and videography ratings platform for smartphones, standalone cameras and lenses. It has reviewed smartphones across various brands such as Apple, Huawei, Samsung, Google OnePlus, Xiaomi, LG and HTC. Yesterday, it took to Twitter to confirm that it will be reviewing a smartphone from a brand that has it never tested before. DxOMark has never tested an OPPO smartphone. Could it be now testing OPPO Reno 10x Zoom smartphone that boasts 10x hybrid zoom capabilities?

The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom comes with a triple camera unit on its rear. It has a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a telephoto 13-megapixel periscope lens. The Reno 10x Zoom supports 6x optical zoom and the periscopic arrangement, it carries support for 10x hybrid zoom.

The handset supports a whopping 60x digital zoom which is even higher than the 50x zoom available on the Huawei P30 Pro smartphone. For shooting selfies, the Reno 10x Zoom features a 16-megapixel camera and an LED flash placed inside a “sharkfin” camera module. Most reviewer have provided good ratings for the camera capabilities of the Reno 10x Zoom smartphone. It would be interesting to see how it fares on DxOMark benchmarks.

Currently, the Huawei P30 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S10 5G are leading DxOMark benchmarks list with a score of 112. The Honor 20 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro are listed next with 111 score. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Huawei P20 Pro and Galaxy S10+ have scored 109 on DxOMark. It remains to be seen whether the Reno 10x Zoom can score higher than the P30 Pro on DxOMark.
