Samsung‘s Galaxy Note 10 ‘Unpack’ event is scheduled for the second week of August in New York, US. Yet, new details about the handsets have already been popping everywhere. Now, it has been reported that the upcoming Galaxy Note 10 smartphone could come with the same camera sensor as the Galaxy S10, though with an additional feature.
While we are not sure of the additional feature, it could be a 3D ToF lens that has been on leaks and rumours for quite some time. Moreover, the phablet will most likely have the regular Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC instead of the all-new Snapdragon 855+ mobile platform that was recently launched.
According to the popular tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy Note 10 will have S5K2L4 as the main sensor on its triple camera setup at the back. Notably, the sensor is the same as the Galaxy S10’s primary sensor, with 12-megapixel resolution. The tipster further adds that there will be a “very technical” additional feature, and the handset could be the last Samsung flagship to employ 12MP 1/2.55″ 1.4μm sensor.
Next year’s Galaxy S11 could come with a brand new configuration. In a follow-up tweet, Ice said that next year’s phones will deliver 10x optical zoom as well as 108-megapixel cameras. This doesn’t necessarily mean the Galaxy S11 will get both features, though we’d expect to have the zoom at the very least. Companies like Huawei and Oppo are already pushing forward on the 10x optical zoom, so we fully expect Samsung to join in soon.
