Samsung Galaxy A70 was launched in March this year but went on sale in April. When the device went on sale, it didn’t have the popular Night Mode on the camera which seems to make its camera output low-light shots that are inferior to those of other mid-rangers. Samsung has now corrected that with the release of a new update for the Galaxy A70. Galaxy A70 featured

The latest firmware comes with the code A705GMDDU3ASG6 and apart from bringing the much-anticipated Night mode, it also adds the July security update. The update size is quite large – 367 MB and is already available to owners of the Galaxy A70  in India. We expect the update to be pushed to owners of the device in other regions soon.

Alongside the Night mode function onboard the camera, Sammy also included another tweak which is a dedicated QR scanner in the camera interface. Other points of focus with the new update include stability improvements and minor bug fixes. Some Indian users reported that the previous firmware update brought in several third-party bloat apps which can be uninstalled but it’s still quite unusual. We’ll have to wait and see if the same process repeats this time around.
