EMUI 10 is just a few days away from its official release. Huawei will announce the new UI at the Huawei Developer Conference (HDC 2019) that kicks off on August 9. But before the official event, a few promo images of the upcoming UI have popped up online.

Huawei EMUI 10 promo images brought to us by Huawei Central reveals some major changes in visual elements. Don’t take our word for it, for the promo images directly states that the new UI features visual changes everywhere. According to the images, there are changes made to the classification of design elements in the UI and the way gallery content is sorted. It looks like the new UI will come with smoother animations too and offer better performance when playing videos and games. There’s support for video ringtones as well.

Unfortunately, as you might notice these aren’t the actual screenshots of the UI. So, many of the features are still not clear. But we can expect some major changes in EMUI 10. Huawei has managed to improve EMUI over the past few years bringing in gesture navigation, system-wide dark mode and even EROFS file system for faster storage performance and management. CPU and GPU turbo have become mainstream features among its devices running EMUI. So, overall, we can expect new AI-related features focused on performance, gaming, and fluidity on the new EMUI 10 OS.

Huawei’s EMUI 10 will be based on Android Q. According to a Reddit post, there are over 16 phones eligible for Android Q based EMUI 10 update. The list is based on a leaked image and includes Huawei’s P30, P20 series models, Mate 20 series models (including Lite), Mate 10 models, and also the Huawei P Smart 2019 lineup.
