As early as the beginning of this year, Meizu Technology’s founder Huang Zhang (Jerry Wang) had revealed that Flyme 8 was already in the works. Since then, several details have been revealed but no date was fixed for the release. That is about to change as Meizu may officially unveil Flyme 8 on August 28. Flyme 8 is expected to bring a new, refreshed look to the custom ROM with new features such as fingerprint vortex animation, small window 2.0, home guard 3.0, and game mode 4.0. The Meizu 16s Pro is expected to be the first model to get the new custom ROM version. Since the Flyme 8 has been a long time coming, we don’t expect the company to delay before rolling out updates to its old models.
