Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8 Pro model is turning out to be quite powerful and feature-rich. After confirming that the new model will feature MediaTek’s G90T gaming processor with liquid cooling, the company announced today that its beautiful green variant is called as the Redmi Note 8 Pro Ice Jade variant. Also, the phone will feature a 3D curved glass design, similar to what we have seen on premium smartphones.

Redmi claims that the phone features a four-curved 3D design. This adds a liquidy touch to the design, staying true to its Ice Jade name. When Redmi says the design is 3D four-curved, it’s likely hinting that the phone’s back is curved on all the four sides. If you look at the render closely, you can see the gentle curves on the sides. Green seems to be really in trend this year, with the RN8Pro really embracing it. Even the Realme 5 Pro which was announced a few days back comes in a crystal green color scheme.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro is confirmed to feature quad cameras at the back with a 64MP primary camera. After seeing the samples, the phone is likely to do really well in its price segment. The fingerprint sensor will be located just below the camera housing, at the back. There’s liquid cooling as well as smart antenna placements to ensure the phone does well even while gaming. Its AnTuTu score puts it just below Kirin 810 and well above other Snapdragon 712 powered smartphones.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro and the Note 8 will launch on August 29.
