Realme 5 went on sale in India for the first time yesterday through Flipkart and Realme India’s official website. The smartphone went out of stock just 30 minutes into the sale. Realme India’s CEO Madhav Sheth later posted on Twitter that the company sold 120,000 units of the smartphone on the very first day. Realme has now scheduled the next sale on Aug.30, starting 12 PM.

Realme 5 Specifications and Price

The Realme 5 features a 6.5-inch HD LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9, and is Gorilla Glass 3 certified. The handset features a splash-resistant body.

The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 665 SoC with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/128GB of internal storage. The device sports a quad rear camera setup. It consists of a 12-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultra wide sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front-facing camera is a 13-megapixel unit. The Realme 5 draws power from a 5,000 mAh battery and runs on the Android 9.0 Pie-based ColorOS 6.

The base price of the Realme 5 for the 3GB + 32GB variant is Rs. 9,999 (~$139). The higher-spec 4GB + 64GB variant is available at Rs. 10,999 (~$153). The range-topping 4GB + 128GB variant commands Rs. 11,999 (~$167).
