Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo recently took the wraps off the Vivo Z5 packing a Snapdragon 712 chipset. The company may drop the Z7 and Z9 sometime in the near future as it has filed for trademarks for both names. Vivo Z7

We can’t say when they will be launched or if both models will be launched at the same time but a trademark application is an indication that Vivo will use the names for successive models. At the moment, nothing is known about the models but a source claims the Z9 may feature a quad-camera setup with the primary sensor likely being a 64MP one. Both models are expected to pack an AMOLED display as well as in-display fingerprint sensors.vivo z9

Since the Z7 and Z9 are likely taking over from the Z5, they are likely to step-up on the features and specs of the Z5 and not go lower. As a reminder, the Z5 sports a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a waterdrop notch at the top. The device also packs an in-display fingerprint scanner. As stated earlier, it is powered by a Snapdragon 712 chipset paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM. The Z5 packs a big 4,500mAh battery and supports 22.5W fast charging as well as reverse charging.
