Huawei launched its new Honor Vision smart screen in China with much fanfare early last month. It was also the first device to feature the company’s self-developed HarmonyOS. While the initial release was limited to China, it looks like Huawei has plans to release its smart screens internationally as well.

Five Huawei smart screens (HEGE, OSCA-550, OSCA-550A, OSCA-550X, and OSCA-550AX) were recently spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website. Usually, products that come up on Bluetooth SIG don’t take long to launch in the market. Considering this, we can speculate that Huawei is planning to launch the Honor Vision or at least new Honor Vision like smart screen devices internationally pretty soon.

Bluetooth SIG confirms that these smart screen devices are running EMUI HomeVision 9.0.0.13. We are unsure whether this is a UI on top of HarmonyOS or Android. But given how Honor’s first smart screen was called the Honor Vision (see the similarity with HomeVision OS?), it’s possible that these are the international variants of the product.

It’s likely that we’ll get the see these newly certified Honor smart screen models at IFA  2019 that kicks off on September 6 at Berlin. If you recall, Huawei has an event scheduled on the same day at 4:30 PM local time. Alongside the launch of the new Kirin 990 chipset, we could also hear more about Huawei Honor Vision’s international release.
