Paul Jowett, who had been working for Apple since the year 2011, has now been appointed by Huawei Australia as a Director of Marketing. At Huawei, he will be leading the company’s efforts “help bring the company’s world-class line-up of smartphones, PCs, and wearables to more users”.

Commenting on his appointment, Paul Jowett said: “Huawei is constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible with technology, and sets the benchmark for smartphone innovation. I am thrilled to join the Australian team and look forward to delivering exciting campaigns for the business.”

Prior to working for Apple, he had held the position of Head of Channel Marketing at Samsung. He has also worked as Marketing Manager for Vodafone, Brand Marketing Manager for InsuranceLine, and Advertising Manager for 3 Mobile. As for his education, Jowett holds a Masters Degree in Marketing from University of Ulster, obtained in 2000.

Meanwhile, Huawei is all set to launch new color options of the Huawei P30 series smartphones at the IFA 2019 in Berline later this week. After that, later this month, on 19th September, the company will be launching its next-gen Mate series flagship smartphones — Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro.
