A couple of weeks ago, Oppo announced its new Oppo Reno2 lineup of smartphones and today, the company launched the Reno2 phone in its home country China. Now, Oppo’s Vice President Shen Yiren has confirmed that the company will launch Oppo Reno Ace smartphone with 90Hz display next month, i.e. October 2019.

The development comes just days after it was revealed that Oppo is getting ready to launch a new smartphone which will be featuring a display with 90Hz refresh rate and will have fast charging support. Currently, no more details about this upcoming Reno Ace smartphone is known.

Recently, the company also hinted that it will be the first smartphone maker to launch a device powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor having integrated 5G modem. However, there’s no timeline available for the smartphone in question.

Meanwhile, the company has launched the Oppo Reno2 smartphone in China for a price of 2,999 Yuan (~$421), It features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Panoramic display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 93.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone also comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor for added security.

The smartphone’s front panel is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 6, while the back panel is being protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 730G octa-core processor.

The device packs 8GB RAM and comes with 256GB internal storage. Focusing on the gaming side, the company will be offering anti-cheat extensions, 25% better graphic processing, HDR10 Gaming support, and Game Assistant, among others.

The Reno2 comes equipped with a selfie camera of 16-megapixel and houses a quad-camera setup on the back. It consists of a 48-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel lens, a 13-megapixel sensor, and a 2-megapixel lens. Powered by a 4,000mAh battery, the phone comes with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast-charging support.
