Xiaomi’s latest fitness tracker band, the Mi Band 4, which was launched in China a few months ago, has now been finally launched in India as Mi Smart Band 4. However, the Indian unit comes with a few differences compared to the Chinese variant.

The Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 4 comes with a 0.95-inch display with 120 x 240 pixels resolution. The display is 39.9 percent bigger compared to its predecessor and is using AMOLED color screen. There’s also a 2.5D scratch-resistant tempered glass on the top.

The display is also capable of showing application notifications, including SMS, WhatsApp messages, fitness details, calls, among others. It can also control smartphone’s music playback as well as Xiaomi’s smart home ecosystem devices.

The device is water resistant up to 5ATM (50 meters) and comes with an upgraded 6-axis high-precision sensor that intelligently recognises different type of swimming strokes including Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly stroke, and Medley. It can also track six different sport modes, which includes indoor running, outdoor running, exercise, swimming, cycling, and walking.

It also comes with a heart rate sensor as well as several tracking features such as step counting and sleep monitoring. As for the connectivity feature, it supports Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy (LE). The device is powered by a 135mAh Li Ion polymer battery which the company claims can offer 20 days of usage on a single charge.

The device is a bit different from the one launched in China as the Indian variant lacks the microphone as well as NFC support. The Chinese unit has a microphone that enables users to make use of the smart assistant, which is not present in the Indian unit.

The Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 4 is priced at ₹2,299 (approximately $32) and will go on sale in India from 19th September through Amazon.in, Mi Home, and Xiaomi Online Store. The company is also offering different color options for the strap, which includes Black, Orange, Violet, and Purple.
