OPPO-backed budget smartphone maker Realme has already confirmed that the Realme X2 smartphone will be launched in China at an event on 24th September. While the phone was expected to be the re-branded version of the Realme XT recently launched in India, it’s pretty evident that’s not the case.

Instead, it seems like the Realme X2 is a rebranded version of the Realme XT 730G smartphone teased by the company’s CEO Madhav Sheth which is slated to go official in India this December.

Now, just a day before the official launch of X2 smartphone, Realme’s Chief Marketing Officer Xu Qi Chase has revealed the key specifications of the device. He confirms that the phone will come powered by Snapdragon 730G chipset and will have LPDDR4X RAM as well as UFS 2.1 internal storage.

He has also confirmed 64MP quad-camera setup on the back and a 32MP front-facing snapper. The phone will be powered by a 4,000mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging support. It will also support NFC, in-display fingerprint sensor, Dolby sound, etc.

The display is expected to be the same as the XT, featuring a 6.4-inch S-AMOLED Full HD+ display with 2340 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It will be offering 91.9 percent screen-to-body ratio. While Xu Qi Chase has suggested 6GB + 64GB model, we also expect 8GB + 128GB variant.

The quad camera system on the phone will consist of 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 primary camera sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel dedicated macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone will be running Android 9 Pie operating system out-of-the-box with ColorOS on top. Do note that most of these specifications were already confirmed by the company through various teasers.

Realme, which made its debut last year in India has seen a tremendous growth in the country but the company is now also focusing on its home market China where it started operations earlier this year. While most smartphones from the company gets first launched in India, some important devices are debuting in China first.

Realme X was first made official in the Chinese market and now the Realme X2, which seems to be the re-branded Realme XT 730G is getting launched in China, month before its India launch this December.
