The Redmi Note 8 Pro is finally making its way out of China and the first port of call is Spain, Europe. The 64MP Quad Rear Camera-toting gaming phone arrives the Old Continent with the same price tag as the Android One Mi A3.

Redmi Note 8 Pro

The Redmi Note 8 Pro has a starting price tag of €249 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB version and goes up to €269 if you want the 6GB RAM + 128GB version. When you compare its specs to that of the Mi A3, you are definitely getting a lot more.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro has a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch and a 91.4% screen-to-body ratio. It is covered with Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides just like its predecessor, the Redmi Note 7. Powering it is the MediaTek Helio G90T, a 12nm octa-core processor with 4x A76 cores at 2.05GHz + 4x Cortex A55 cores at 2.05GHz and a Mali G76 GPU.

The phone has four cameras on its rear – a 64MP f/1.89 Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1, an 8MP f/2.2 120° ultrawide angle camera, a 2MP 2CM macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. There is 10x digital zoom, 4K video recording at 30fps, and 720p slow-motion recording at 960fps. Inside the notch in front sits a 20MP f/2.0 camera.

BOE said back in June that it will begin mass production of LCD displays with support for in-display fingerprint recognition by the end of the year. Based on this, the Redmi settled for a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The phone packs a 4500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. It also has liquid cooling, Game Turbo 2.0, a USB Type-C port, an audio jack, and an IR sensor. It runs Android 9 Pie out of the box.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro will go on sale on Thursday, September 26 at 9 AM on the official Xiaomi Spain website, Mi Stores, and AliExpress. For the first 24 hours, buyers will be able to get €20 off the price of the base model. It will also be available on Amazon Spain on September 30. The phone is available in Mineral Gray, Mother of Pearl, and Forest Green.
