OPPO will be launching the OPPO K5 along with OPPO Reno Ace flagship phone on Oct. 10. The entire design of the OPPO K5 have been revealed through its images that appeared yesterday. The smartphone will be debuting with the impressive 64-megapixel quad camera setup. Today, the Chinese firm has took to Weibo to reveal the Snapdragon 730G will be the present under the hood of the device. Also, it will be equipped with the faster VOOC 4.0 rapid charging technology.

The Snapdragon 730G is an 8nm chipset that clocks at 2.2GHz and promises 15 percent increase in graphics performance for gaming. The OPPO K5 will be the first OPPO phone to arrive with VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge technology that reduces the charging by 40 percent when compared to VOOC 3.0 that was available on the OPPO K3. The predecessor model had a 3,765mAh battery. Its successor will be arriving with a larger 4,000mAh battery.

OPPO K5 Specifications

The OPPO K5 will be flaunting a dewdrop notch enabled AMOLED display of 6.4 inches. It will produce full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The SD730G chip will be coupled with 8 GB of storage. For storage, the handset will offer users with an internal space of 128 GB and a dedicated slot for adding a microSD card.

The front notch of the OPPO K5 has a selfie camera of 32-megapixel. The quad camera system that is slotted on the backside of the phone features the 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 primary lens and an ultrawide sensor of 8-megapixel. It is expected to include a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone is also equipped with an in-display fingerprint reader. The specs of the phone are identical to the recently announced Realme X2 phone.

As of this writing, there is no information on the pricing of the OPPO K5. The rumor mill is claiming that OPPO will be also announcing the OPPO Reno2 F smartphone on Oct. 10 in China. However, there is no official confirmation on it yet from the company.
