The last Mi Note phone, the Mi Note 3 was announced in 2017. When it launched, we were surprised it was not a flagship device like its predecessor but an upper mid-range phone. Xiaomi didn’t release a successor last year, and a few months ago they said the series along with the Mi Max series won’t be getting new models this year, but that will change later this month, at least for the Mi Note series.

It has been reported that Xiaomi will actually announce a new Mi Note smartphone by the end of October. This new phone will launch as the Mi Note 10 (yes, that is a big jump from 3). Evidence of the phone’s existence has now surfaced online.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 retail box

Today, Twitter user @TechytMr shared a photo of the Mi Note 10’s retail box lending further credence to the device’s existence. Unfortunately, the retail box doesn’t reveal any of the phone’s specs.

Other than the Mi Note 10, it has also been reported that Xiaomi will announce the Mi CC9 Pro by the end of the month. The Mi CC9 Pro is expected to pack some really interesting camera features such as a 108MP sensor.

Chinese blogger and leaker who goes by @Digital chat station posted on Weibo earlier today that Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone will not be priced low and will not follow the company’s tradition of price-performance ratio. However, “users who like to take pictures can check it out,” he said. Although he doesn’t specifically mention the name of the device, he is most likely talking about the Mi CC9 Pro and not the Mi Note 10 since the Mi CC9 series is aimed at camera lovers.
