At the end of the previous month, a tipster had revealed that Xiaomi may soon announce a phone called Redmi Note 8T in India. The handset was speculated to arrive with Snapdragon 730G processor onboard. Now fresh renders of the smartphone have appeared alongside the Redmi Note 8 smartphone to reveal its design.

In the below shown renders, the unannounced Redmi Note 8T can be seen on the left whereas the Redmi Note 8 is placed on the right. The placement of the vertical quad camera system, fingerprint scanner and Redmi branding on the Redmi Note 8T is identical with the Redmi Note 8.

The tipster who has shared the renders of the Redmi Note 8T has debunked the rumors that claimed that the device is fueled by SD730G. He is of the view that the Redmi Note 8T and Note 8 have identical specs and the only difference between the two is the newer device will be arriving with NFC support. However, Redmi is yet to confirm on the existence of the Redmi Note 8T.

Redmi Note 8 Specifications

The Redmi Note 8 has a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with waterdrop notch. it produces full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 19.5:9 pixels. The front and rear sides of the phone are flanked with Gorilla Glass 5 panels. The MIUI 10 based Android 9 Pie OS runs on the device. The Snapdragon 665 chipset is the driving force of the smartphone. The SoC is coupled with up to 4 GB of RAM and the device comes with up to 128 GB storage options.

The quad camera system of the Redmi Note 8 has Sony IMX586 48-megapixel lens as primary sensor. It is coupled with 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel dedicated macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On its front is a 13-megapixel selfie shooter. The handset is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Neptune Blue, Moonlight White and Space Black are the three color editions of the smartphone.

As far as the Redmi Note 8T is concerned, Redmi may give out some information on it in the coming days.
