Xiaomi is rolling out a major update to the Mi TV 4A Pro 49 in India. The update brings Android TV 9 to the smart TV as well as some much-anticipated features.

With the new update, owners of the Mi TV 4A Pro 49 will also get Netflix and Amazon’s Prime Video. This means you can now stream your favorite TV shows from the two platforms.

The update also brings Data Saver, a feature announced by Google in September, so you can spend less data when streaming. With Data Saver, data usage should reduce by up to three times. You should also be able to set data alerts to monitor how much data you have used.

The Android TV 9 update for the Mi TV 4A Pro 49 is 812.3MB in size and it includes October’s security patch, Vivid Picture Engine, and an optimization for wireless connectivity.

The Mi TV 4A Pro 49 is currently priced at INR 29.999 on Mi.com. It has a 49-inch FHD screen with a 178° viewing angle. It comes with two 10W speakers, 3 HDMI ports including one with support for HDMI ARC, 1 AV input port, 1 ethernet port, and an S/PDIF port. The TV is powered by Amlogic’s 64-bit quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. It has Xiaomi’s PatchWall system on top of Android TV and ships with a Bluetooth remote with support for voice search using the Google Assistant.
