As we’ve said in the past, UMIDIGI has stopped being just a smartphone manufacturer and has expanded to other fields too. After the release of its successful budget flagship smartphone UMIDIGI F2, the Chinese manufacturer just launched its sports smartwatch, UMIDIGI Uwatch GT. The watch will be available globally at a discounted price (not unveiled yet) on Thanksgiving, 28th November.

According to the company, the killer feature of Uwatch GT is the 5ATM water resistance which means the watch is water-resistant up to a depth of 50 meters for 10 minutes so that you don’t have to worry when wearing it in daily life or swimming. Usually, a similar feature is available in very expensive smartwatches.

The biggest upgrade over its predecessor is the design as the new model adopts a more premium rounded design with some feature improvements. It’s one of the biggest among its class with a 47mm width and 1.3″ display. The round body comes with smooth edges, providing a look suitable both for sports and work. Also, like the Huawei GT 2, the UWatch also comes with 2 control buttons on the right side.

What’s also upgraded is the Bluetooth version as it now comes with Bluetooth 5.0 meaning significant increase in connection stability, power consumption, and data transfer speed compared to Bluetooth 4.0. Inside the watch, UMIDIGI adopts low-power chips that, paired with their smart power-saving algorithm, allow for a two weeks battery life on a single charge. Also, software-wise, the watch supports advanced exercise tracking with 12 compatible activities, including running, walking, hiking, cycling and swimming. Heart rate monitoring is also improved.

Uwatch GT comes in 2 colors, Matte Black and Midnight Green. Following the first sale of the quad-camera battery flagship UMIDIGI Power 3, the watch will start its global sales at a discounted price on November 28th and will end on Cyber Monday. The price is not yet revealed so you can add the Uwatch GT to your cart on AliExpress to be among the first to get updated about the offer. Lastly, if you want to get it for free, UMIDIGI is running a big giveaway to recruit 10 trial users for Uwatch GT.
