Vivo Samsung Exynos 980 November 7

Samsung announced the Exynos 980 5G chipset back in September 2019. The  octa-core structure on the Exynos 980 features two high-performance 2.2 GHz Cortex-A77 cores and six 1.8 GHz Cortex-A55 modules. This improves the overall energy efficiency.

The Exynos 980 is a dual-mode 5G AI chip, meaning it supports both the NSA (Non-Standalone) and SA (Standalone) networking modes. It is the second dual-mode processor. The first being Huawei’s Kirin 990 5G. The Exynos 980 SoC supports LPDDR4x RAM, sensors up to 108-megapixel and display resolution of up to 3360 x 1440 pixels.

Vivo X30 Specifications and Features (Rumored)

The Vivo X30 is expected to succeed in the Vivo X27 launched earlier in 2019. The X30 is rumored to feature a 6.5-inch full-HD bezel-less AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The lack of a punch-hole or waterdrop notch indicates the presence of a pop-up selfie camera. The smartphone will be powered by the all-new Exynos 980 SoC under the hood with up to 8 GB of RAM. Vivo is rumored to offer the device with up to 256 variant with UFS 2.1 storage as well.

The Vivo X30 is expected to be powered by a 4,500 mAh battery with support for fast charge. Vivo is expected to place the X30 right below its flagship Vivo NEX 3 5G. The X30 is likely to sport a base price lower than the NEX 3 5G, which is priced at CNY 5,698 (~$813).
