However, its noteworthy that the South Korean giant has not revealed how many units it sold during those five minutes. There’s a high possibility that the units were quite limited for the first sale in China but the exact number is not yet known.

Earlier, it was reported that the company has reportedly sold around 500,000 units of Galaxy Fold smartphones globally. On the other hand, its rival Huawei has launched Huawei Mate X foldable smartphone for a price of 16,999 Yuan (~$2,414) which went on sale last month in China.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphone presents a 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display with a 1536 x 2152 pixels screen resolution. In this mode, you can use three apps at the same time which Samsung calls Three-app Multitasking.

When folded into phone mode, it offers a 4.6-inch display with 840 x 1960 pixels screen resolution. It comes with a feature called App Continuity which automatically adjust an app when you switch screens. It is powered by a 7nm processor paired with 12GB of RAM and packs 512GB of internal storage using UFS 3.0 technology.

The phone comes equipped with a camera module that is made up of a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 12-megapixel telephoto camera, and another 12-megapixel wide-angle camera. On the front side, it comes with a 10-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and video calling. It runs the latest Samsung One UI with Android 9 Pie operating system out-of-the-box.
