Last month, Vivo had launched the Vivo Y19 smartphone in Thailand. The same phone was unveiled as Vivo Y5s in China. The Vivo Y19 is also expected to hit the Indian markets in the near future. 91mobiles has shared the leaked pricing of the 4 GB RAM variant of the smartphone.
According to the report that cites information retrieved from retail sources, the 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage edition of the Vivo Y19 is expected to land in India with a pricing of Rs. 13,990 (~$$195). The Vivo Y17 that is rumored to get phased out after the arrival of Vivo Y19 is currently selling at the same price tag for its 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage model.
In Thailand, the Vivo Y19 comes in a single edition of 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage and it is priced at 6,990 Baht (~$230; ~Rs. 16,550). There is a possibility that the Vivo Y19 could be available in India in multiple variants. The exact launch date of the Vivo Y19 for India is currently under the wraps. However, it is expected to debut in the country in this month.
Vivo Y19 Specifications and Features
The Vivo Y19 has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with waterdrop notch. It carries support for full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The handset promises a high screen-to-body ratio of 90.3 percent. The MediaTek Helio P65 is present under the hood of the device along with up to 6 GB of RAM. For storage, the phone offers an internal space of 128 GB and it also carries support for microSD card.
The Vivo Y19 has a 16-megapixel selfie camera lodged inside the front notch. At the back, there is a triple camera setup that has a 16-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The FunTouch OS 9.2 based Android 9 Pie OS runs on the device. It is backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W dual-engine fast charging through microUSB. A fingerprint reader is available on its rear shell and it carries support for face unlock. Morning Dew and Diamond Black are the two color variants of the smartphone.
