Vivo India has launched the Vivo Y19 mid-range phone in India to target the offline markets. It has arrived as a replacement for the Vivo Y17 that may get discontinued in the coming days. The same phone was announced in Thailand earlier this year. The Vivo Y19 that features a tall aspect ratio display, triple rear cameras and large-sized battery has arrived with a price tag of Rs. 13,990 (~$195).

Vivo Y19 Specifications and Features

The Vivo Y19 has a polycarbonate chassis that houses a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display. The waterdrop notched display produces full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a tall aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone offers an impressive screen space of 90.3 percent.

The MediaTek Helio P65 chipset is present under the hood of the Vivo Y19 smartphone. The chipset is coupled with 4 GB of RAM. The native storage of the smartphone is 64 GB. There is a microSD card slot onboard for additional storage.

The FunTouch OS 9.2 UI based Android 9 Pie OS runs on the device. For smoother gaming performance, the phone carries support for Multi-Turbo and Game Space. The device is backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery that is equipped with support for 18W dual-engine fast charging.

The Vivo Y19 has a front-facing camera of 16-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture. Its back panel is decorated with a vertical triple camera setup at the top-left corner and a fingerprint scanner. The rear camera system includes an f/1.78 aperture 16-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel lens for adding depth effects to the images. The phone also carries support for face unlock. The usual connectivity features such as dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack.

Vivo Y19 comes in a single variant of 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage in India with a price tag of Rs. 13,990. The handset is available for purchase through offline stores across India. The same phone is selling in China as Vivo Y5s.
