Redmi Note 8 series has remained popular in markets like India and Indonesia. Earlier today, Xiaomi Indonesia revealed that Redmi had shipped over 125,000 units of the Redmi Note 8 series in a month. This marks a new milestone for the smartphone maker in Indonesia, which currently ranks second in terms of market share in the country.

To celebrate the milestone, the team ordered the Indonesian traditional celebratory cuisine, Tumpeng alongside a large cake.

Although Samsung dominates the Indonesian market at 22% market share, Xiaomi is close behind at 20%. Sale of the company’s Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro models should Xiaomi help cover this difference in the coming quarters and today’s milestone definitely comes as a good sign.

The Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro models have been very well received due to its incredible value for money. The Pro version features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch.
