Xiaomi India recently released a couple of teasers pointing to the launch of a new fitness band in India on November 21. This is coming barely two months after the company’s latest smart band – Mi Smart Band 4 was launched in India. Definitely, the gadget isn’t the next-gen Mi Band 5 which isn’t expected until next year. However, the teasers contained some vital clues that tell us what the name of the next-gen smart band will be.

The teasers include a short video and two posters. The video is accompanied by a text stating that the product isn’t a sports shoe (represented by the picture of a shoe) but that itis something that tracks every step you take. It is rounded off with the question; Do you know who am ‘i’?. Do take note of the use of small letter ‘i’. Across other texts, including COMiNG SOON” inside the video, the same letter ‘i’ was deployed which is likely an indication that the gadget will get the ‘i’ suffix in whatever moniker it adopts.mi band 3i

The second and third teasers are posters which also highlighted the lowercase letter ‘i’ viz-a-viz ‘iGNITE’. One of the posters had the word “Thiiings” with three “i”s which is a modification of ‘Things’. The three ‘i’s literally could mean that the smart band will be named Mi Smart Band 3i. We expect the smart band to come with a cheaper price tag and from the teasers, awesome features. The Mi Band 3i will likely retain the design of its predecessors, talking of the Band 4.

Xiaomi India is also teasing a marathon race taking place on December 1 at the Embassy TechVillage in Bengaluru. The company also disclosed that every finisher during the marathon. At present, the specifications of the Mi Band 3i have not been announced but the price is expected to be between those of the Mi Band 3 and 4.
