The Dimensity 1000 SoC is targetting the Chinese markets according to analysts. This includes manufacturing giants as clients such as Xiaomi and Oppo. It is expected that the new SoC will hit the markets in the first quarter of 2020.

Notably, the US brokerage reported that the Dimensity 1000 SoC is twice as fast as the Kirin 990 and Exynos 980 chipsets; which are proprietary SoC’s made by HiSilicon Technologies from Huawei and Samsung respectively. It is also being claimed that it can rival Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 5G chips but the exact model was not mentioned. Unfortunately, we will have to wait till the official launch for real life tests.
